U STYLE CHALLENGE: STYLE A BAR YOUR WAY

bar cart stylingsource

It’s that time again!  Today we are giving you a quick look into how some of our readers are styling their bars.  Ever sense the bar cart became a popular trend a few years ago, it seems like every house you go to has one.  I’m kind of guilty of this too!  (Do bar shelves count?)  What’s practical about a bar is that it serves a purpose.  What’s fun about a bar is…well…everything!  You can do with it whatever you like, you can place it in any room (not the bedroom, please), and you can add lots of personal touches.  There basically is no right or wrong with styling a bar.  Unless you want to use it to keep your folded socks.  That’s not a cool visual.

i style, u style wedding

By now you may be aware that I’m a newlywed.  (AHHH!)  If you’ve been following along on Instagram since i style, u style launched last year, then you’re more than familiar with my gazillion posts on our road to marriage.  It was a long year and five months of being engaged, and throughout that time we lived and breathed our wedding.  Today, six months and one day into our marriage, instead of a 10-step “how to” post, I wanted to write about my experience with planning a wedding that looked and felt like us.

The difference between an interior designer, a decorator, and a stylist is somewhat of a foreign concept for most.  Unless you’re familiar with the lingo, you’re more than likely confused.  Trust me when I say that you are not the only one, my friend.  This is a common misconception, which is why I’m here to tell you a little about the difference between them.

HOME STYLE: NICKY SINCLAIR

living room

I am excited to give you all a glance at Nicky Sinclair’s world!  Her submission quickly caught my eye and really stood out as a result of the ultra-feminine and glamorous photos of her home.  Apart from her very clear love of all things pink and sparkly, Nicky is a creative soul who is not only a fashion illustrator who runs an Etsy shop, but she is also about to embark onto the next stage of her fairytale dream.  She will be opening her own business soon, Composition Lanean online boutique of curated small home accessories that go hand in hand with her unique style.  Talk about girl power!  Nicky is running two businesses while creating a home for her and her husband!
